Nathan encouraged the Life Point family to spend time with the Father and from the reality of our life, write a psalm that expressed both what we are going through & the character of God. Here is a writing by Thomas Kremer:
Oh, how mighty and powerful you must be,
that you show restraint in the discipline of me your child.
Though my mistakes are many and my sins are grievous,
you hold them not against me but rather before me,
that I might recognize my shortcomings before you.
Many times I turn away my face from you,
walking not on the path you have set before me,
but instead walking one of my own choosing.
You wait for me patiently in love
showing only restraint with no contempt.
You embrace me with ultimate grace,
continually showing me unrelenting mercy
having full knowledge of my actions before I carry them out.
A mule to the world, what a stubborn child I am,
always inclining my head, not in your direction,
but instead away from you,
where my ears are closed off to what you are calling me to do.
Never seeing with my eyes, things you try to show me,
instead only seeing the things that I desire but that are not of heaven.
Still you reach out your arms to embrace me,
calling out my name with only love and calmness in your voice
so that I might hear you and right my path before you.
What a lost and lonely child would I be,
if not for the love of a father
always calling out my name,
leaving behind ninety-nine others
to bring this unworthy one,
all the way back home.
