The Faithfulness of our Father

January 26, 2020

I prayed for a lady in the hospital with a large tumor.  She told me that she had been praying for someone with strong faith to come pray for her.  That surprised me because I hadn't considered that description to be me.  During the prayer, I found myself praying for her unborn grandchild.  The next day as I was walking through the hospital, the lady's daughter found me.  She said that when the operation on her mom happened the previous day, the tumor had shrunk to only the size of a ping pong ball!  Additionally, she thanked me for praying about the unborn child, because she was pregnant but hadn't told anyone.

When you have strong faith, you have the confidence in what God is doing such that you can "call the shots".   This doesn't mean that you are God, it means that you are God's representative on earth and that you have strong faith to bring what He desires into this world.  When you have weak faith, you get your feelings hurt.  God has given to every person a measure of faith...but He intends for us to GROW this faith.  Faith isn't in your bank account, your children, or your skills.  It is in the character and nature of our Father.

Remember, we don't start with strong faith.  He is the author & the finisher of our faith...he is the "developer" of our faith.  If we are going to walk into what He has for us, we will need to do it by faith.  As I've prayed I've heard our Father saying:  I see your struggles & what you have been going through.  You all have been giving the devil too much ground.  We have been letting him ride our back.  Why?  Because of unbelief in what God says and promises He will do through us.  We are here in this town for His reason.  When God says do something, we have to go do it...it is intended that we must go act on it!

Here are a few verses that God is speaking to Life Point Church about His faithfulness:

Lamentations 3:22-24 Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed.  For His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  I say to myself: "The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for him!"

"Life Point Family: my compassions never fail.  They are new every morning.  You can begin each day confidently, knowing that my hugh reservoir of blessings is full...to the brim!  This knowledge helps you wait for me, entrusting your long-unanswered prayers into my care and keeping."

Revelation 21:6  He said to me, "It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  To him who is thirsty I will give to dring without cost from the spring of the water of life."

"Life Point Family: I want you to drink deeply from my fountain of limitless love and unfailing compassion.  As you wait in my presence, these divine nutrients are freely available.  You ma drink without cost from the spring of the water of life."

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you.  I don not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubles and do not be afraid.

"Life Point Family: although many of your prayers remain unanswered, you can trust in my great faithfulness.  I keep all of my promises in my perfect way and timing.  I have promised to give you peace that displaces the trouble and fear in your heart."

Isaiah 30:18  Therefore the Lord will wait, that he may be gracious to you, and that He may have mercy on you.  For He is a God of justice.  Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

"Life Point Family: if you become weary of waiting for answers to your prayers, remember that I also wait...so that I may be gracious to you and have mercy on you.  I wait until you are ready to receive the things I have prepared for you."
